PRESS RELEASE FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE December 28, 2018 Lahaina, HI – IMPORTANT MEETING JANUARY 17, 2019 AND THE PUBLIC IS INVITED AND ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND: The West Maui Taxpayers Association (WMTA) will hold its Annual Members Meeting on Thursday, January 17, 2019, at Lahaina Civic Center – 1840 Honoapiilani Hwy, Lahaina, HI 96761. The public is invited to this always informative event. AKAKU Community TV will tape the event for later re-broadcast. There is complimentary food service which will begin at 5:00 PM, followed by a short business meeting at 5:30 PM with Official WMTA business, including the Election of its Board of Directors. Slate of Directors include Lee Chamberlain, Richard Jarman, Gregg Nelson, Jess “Joe” Park, Joseph Pluta, John Seebart and Fereshteh Tali. Members – you should have already received a Proxy via the Dec Newsletter mailed to you the week of December 10, 2018. It is also posted on our website. Immediately following this short business meeting will be presentations important to the West Maui community. The major purpose of the meeting is to have elected officials address issues of interest to the West Maui community, and to have special presentations on major project impacting the Isolated West Maui Community as illustrated above.
